Group Training
Group training for students are offered for all fitness and skill levels. The course breakdowns are specific to the goals of the students and/or teams involved. In order to discuss different group offerings specific to your requests, please contact us.
Below you will find current course offerings for students. These are for a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 15 students.
Courses:
General Youth Fitness Course:
This class is suitable for non-athletes, as well as those recreational athletes that are either not enrolled in a sports program or are interested in overall fitness development. The class limit is 15 students and will be a more relaxed, yet challenging environment in order to portray physical fitness in a positive light.
The movements and skills that we will cover are:
- Body awareness/proprioception
- Motor skill development
- Multi-planar movement
- Strength development
- Running mechanics
- Weight loss
- Cardiovascular development
- General coordination skills
- Agility skills
- Social development and teamwork
Sports Specific Skills Level 1:
This class is geared more towards the recreational athlete and above. The class will be more physically and mentally challenging, while bringing in facets of skill development specific to improving performance in all of the major sports. This class is limited once again to 15 students.
The skills that will be covered are:
- Speed, agility, and quickness training
- Running mechanics
- Multi-planar movement
- Basic strength training
- Balance and stabilization training
- Reactive and plyometric training
- Coordination
- Cardiovascular Development
- Team work skill development
Sports Specific Skills Level 2:
This class is considered the premier sports specific training course. The students in this class are the serious, top level athletes who are willing to enter into a bi-weekly training program. The class is not for the faint of heart and will mirror the specific skills taught in whichever sport they are participating in. The class is limited to 15 students.
The skills that will be covered are:
- Speed, agility, quickness
- Advanced resistance training
- Multi-planar movement
- Core strength development
- Active and dynamic flexibility
- Coordination
- Advanced balance and stabilization training
- Advanced reactive and plyometric training
Introduction to Strength Training:
This course is designed for the junior high school or high school student who wishes to learn about weight lifting in a group setting. The theory behind the course is to teach and instruct proper form and training regiments that students can practice on their own in a gym of their choice. This course is age specific and is offered starting at age 13 and above.
The skills that will be covered are:
- Range of motion and flexibility
- Proper ‘warm up’ and movement preparation techniques
- Training program development and design
- Exercise selection for optimization of goals
- Proper form and execution
- Proper ‘cool down’ techniques
- Nutrition for weight and muscle gain
Group Training Age Ranges:
- 5-8
- 9-11
- 12-15
- 15-17
